College Library
The College has a separate multi-storeyed central library building, which is quite spacious and airy. The central library has an Advisory Committee consisting of senior faculty members. Book bank facility and stock verification work at the library is computerised. The old students are allowed to borrow the books from the library. Some retired staff members who are doing research work and post-graduate students are also making use of the library facilities.
The students are provided with cards to borrow books from book bank, subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:
Submission of the application to the librarian at the beginning of theacademic year.
Maximum number of books is three.
Refundable fee of Rs.15/= per book to be remitted.
Books to be returned intact at the end of the year.
During the last two academic years 1,232 and 643 textbooks, 988 and 53 other books, 71 and 54 journals/periodicals respectively are added to the stock of central library. Presently, there are 62,203 books in the central library.
The College central library has a computer. The working hours of the library are from 0830 Hrs to 1700 Hrs on all days except Sundays and public holidays. The library hours are extended to the students during revision holidays and the examination period.
